Somero Goes to Uganda
It has been nearly two months since our board and volunteers have come back from Uganda. With a mix of newbies and seasoned visitors, there was a true range of emotions between all six of us - but one we all could agree on, is excitement. Although our time together was limited to a week, we experienced a lot, which included: eating, drinking, traveling, dancing, painting, teaching, playing, flat tires, and so much more. We met families, and we became a small family. So, what are we grateful for? All of it. Most of all, we left with a lot of selfies (for the kids) and memories. Here is a little bit of our adventure! Feel free to ask questions, leave comments, or better yet, become apart of Somero!
A true example of Kotolo, Uganda is maze (corn) and the homes they live in. It isn't all red dirt in Africa, there is beautiful luscious greenery as well. It is not only what they eat, but part of how they make a living.
